Membership
Information on Joining or renewing your Lace Guild Membership. There are a lot of benefits in being a member.
Please note: the new member and renewal forms have been removed until the new membership year begins.
The new forms will be available on July 1st, 2025. Please do not send your membership form and payment prior to that date.

Annual Lace Conference
The highlight of the year for a lot of lace makers is the annual conference week. A great time to catch up with old friends from all over the country and to make lots of wonderful new friends.
Competitions
The Australian Lace Guild has two competitions for lacemakers:
- Nimble Fingers Award, for junior lacemakers; and the
- Triennial Award which is held every three years. The 2024 theme is “Sustainability”
Grants and Scholarships
Members are invited each year to apply for:
- Grants are available to assist groups with workshops and special projects.
- Members are invited once every three years to apply for: The Jennifer Fisher Scholarship
Proficiency
Lace makers can attain qualifications in lacemaking through the Guild’s system of proficiencies. There are eleven types of lace and three separate stages of achievement for each type of lace, as well as a Teaching Certificate. More on proficiencies.
Journal and Website Contributions
We appreciate contributions for the Journal and Website. Lace patterns and lace photographs are always welcome.
