I have been learning a variety of Lace making Techniques for over 29 years.

I started teaching 14 years ago and I have taught for the Australian Lace Guild at National AGM’s and for Guild branches in West Australia, South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, NSW and also for The New Zealand Lace Society, OIDFA 2014 in Adelaide and the Embroiderers Guild of South Australia.

I have been fortunate to be able to attend Lace congresses overseas, in Japan in 2010, Ljubljana in Slovenia in 2016.

 

WorkShop – Cathedral Stained Glass Windows – Needlelace 

2 or 4 day workshop

A Needlelace workshop in the style of Cathedral Window Stained Glass –with the theme of Australian State Birds and Flowers. (I will be doing another one with a Cooktown Orchid on it like the Sturt Pea … suitable for beginners+).

Techniques:

  • Cordonnet
  • A variety of filling stitches
  • Colour work: Thread “blending” with several needles at the same time …
  • Metallic thread
